Surfaces: protection and orientation

The requirements for the surfaces of cantilever and pallet racking depend on their location: while weather protection is of main importance for outdoor racks, a good orientation for the forklift driver through the use of colour is necessary for indoor racks.

Organisation through colour

All indoor racking components are first shot-blasted and then given a high-quality two-component polyurethane surface. This hard but elastic surface ensures long-lasting performance. Should any repair work be necessary, it can be easily carried out.

The colour of the columns and cantilevers can be chosen differently so to facilitate the orientation of the forklift driver. By doing so, you lay the foundation for safe (un)loading procedures while avoiding follow-up costs! The entire warehouse can also be visually organised through different colours or simply designed in your corporate colours (corporate identity).

You can choose from all the colours on the RAL scale. Our standard colours are:

Protection for your outdoor storage

For outdoors, we only use the best available surface coating: hot-dip galvanising in accordance with ISO 1461. At Heinz Racking Systems, all racking components are individually hot-dip galvanised. This means that the racks are protected against the effects of the weather, in particular rust, for decades to come!

We take into account all weather influences in the planning, structural analysis, and construction of your racks. Our cantilever and pallet racking is prepared for extreme weather conditions due to climate change:

Steel softens in the heat, nevertheless we guarantee the full declared load capacity.
During storms and bad weather, the racks not only carry the stored goods, but also the additional load of wind pressure.
The additional load caused by snow pressure is also included in the calculation for every Heinz racking system.
